Strawberry Park

Incredible education and character building. My son graduated from Challenger Strawberry Park this spring after eight years with the program. He's now at Bellarmine (got in to all his high schools, BTW) and finding it a very comfortable fit, academically and socially. Challenger contributed a lot to his development as a person, and looking back now at the arc of the whole experience, I conclude it is all that one could hope for. Not a single complaint about a single teacher -- they are all top-notch -- knowledgeable, exemplary, and caring. The new headmaster is wonderful and I appreciate what she is doing for the program and kids. Important work. Highly recommend.

Ms. Smitha is a fantastic teacher! My son attended the half-day Pre-K program and absolutely loved it. The program itself is well-structured and very helpful—it gave him a strong foundation and made the transition to kindergarten smooth and successful.

My son attended the half-day Pre-K program here and loved it so much! Before coming, he had never been to daycare or preschool and didn’t speak any English, so we were a bit nervous at first. But the teachers — especially Ms. Smitha were incredibly caring, patient, and encouraging, helping him adjust quickly and making him feel safe and happy every day. Over the year, he learned so much — not only academically, but also in English, social skills, and confidence. This fall he will be moving on to Kindergarten, and while we’re excited for the next chapter, he will truly miss his teachers and this wonderful school. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done for him！

Both my son (8th grade) and my daughter (in 3rd grade) both go to Challenger Strawberry Park. I am a grateful Parent of two Challenger Students - This school shapes Leaders. This review is more focused on my son's middle school and elementary school experience. Challenger School - Strawberry Park has played a foundational role in shaping my son, into the dedicated, curious, and hard-working student he is today. From his earliest days in kindergarten to his formative middle school years, Challenger Strawberry Park instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and academic excellence. The school's strong emphasis on critical thinking, leadership, and personal responsibility stayed with my son well beyond the classroom. In middle school , he received a national grant for his science initiative. This recognition is a testament to the values, confidence, and mindset Challenger helped nurture. We are especially grateful to Ms. Reinman, whose leadership as principal created an environment of high standards and care, and to Ms. Chen, inspiring science teacher, who fueled his love for inquiry and innovation. Their guidance and belief in his potential were instrumental in his growth as a student and as a young changemaker. To all the dedicated teachers and staff who helped my son thrive, thank you. My older son attended Challenger School for four years, I enrolled my younger one here this year. I can confidently say it's the best choice I've made for him in the Bay Area. We've experienced other private and public schools, but Challenger is the best. The teachers are truly amazing, and the school's approach to learning is fantastic. They consistently distributed books month to month and even provided free yearbooks, which was a lovely touch. What I particularly appreciated was that parents were never bothered with tons of volunteer work, which made things much easier. Before Challenger, my son felt bored and lacked motivation in a well-rated public school. However, Challenger's learning and awarding styles completely transformed his perspective.
