We had a great preschool experience at Challenger Berryessa. We started in the Threes class and continued into the Fours, and our child truly loved the school.Ms. Sarah and Ms. Khushali, the teachers for the Threes class, did an excellent job helping our son transition smoothly from daycare to preschool. Their warmth and patience made the classroom a welcoming environment, and their efforts helped the kids feel comfortable and excited to go to school every day. Our son felt so at home in their class that he didn't want to move on! Thankfully, the transition to the Fours was just as smooth, thanks to Ms. Preeti. She made the change easy and enjoyable for both the kids and parents. The care and effort she put into organizing events like Halloween and the Spring Program were truly commendable. Beyond the special events, the weekly classroom activities helped spark our son's interest in reading, coloring, and many other creative and learning experiences. Ms. Preeti's loving and nurturing nature made her a favorite among the children in no time. As the academic year came to an end, most of the kids were excited for kindergarten--but they were also sad to leave behind their beloved teacher. We're incredibly grateful to all the wonderful teachers at Challenger Berryessa, especially Ms. Preeti, Ms. Sarah, and Ms. Khushali, for the strong foundation they've given our child.

From the very first day my son stepped into the cheerful and welcoming environment of Challenger School, I knew we had made the right decision. But what truly made this experience exceptional was Ms. Preeti, his Pre-K teacher in D8. Her warmth, patience, and unwavering dedication have left an incredible mark on our hearts--and on our son's development. Thank you, Challenger School, for creating such a nurturing environment. There's a lot of misconceptions and bias when people hear the name Challenger. Many assume it's "too academic," often based on secondhand information from those who have never even stepped foot on campus or enrolled their children in the program. We heard many of these same comments when we first considered Challenger for our son. Feedback like, "They don't let kids have fun," or "It's just all about academics," was a common phrase we would hear from other parents. Thankfully, my husband and I didn't let those comments deter us from scheduling a tour, and we're so grateful we didn't. We enrolled our son in the 3's program, and looking back, it was one of the best decisions we've made. His experience in that first year laid a strong foundation for his growth and continued success. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Sarah and Ms. Khushali, they were instrumental in helping our son thrive. We never imagined that at just 3 years old, he would be confidently reading books with 3-5 letter words, writing his name legibly, and performing in front of a room full of parents with ease. Their encouragement, structure, and warmth truly made all the difference. In the 4's program/TK, our son continued to flourish under the care of Ms. Saroja and Ms. Deepthi. Not only did he further advance academically, reading at a level where he can order meals at restaurants independently and doing basic mental math, but he also grew emotionally and socially. He learned to manage his emotions and expresses himself creatively through art and storytelling. What continues to impress us is the level of personalized attention he receives, even in classes with 20-25 students. His teachers truly see and support each child as an individual. I know with their guidance; our son will be successful when he enters kindergarten. Another standout feature of Challenger Berryessa is the culture of warmth and care among the entire staff. It's amazing how every team member, from front office to teachers, knows the names of all the students and greets them warmly at drop-off and pick-up. That kind of environment doesn't just happen by accident; it's built by people who truly care. Yes, Challenger is academically rigorous, and that's exactly what we were looking for. But it's also so much more than that. The structure, the values, the care, and the consistency all contribute to a well-rounded and confident child. Parents who choose Challenger should be prepared to support their child's journey, but that partnership with the school is instrumental to your child success. No school is perfect. But we strongly encourage prospective parents to visit Challenger for themselves. Speak with the staff, observe a classroom, and see the curriculum in action. Don't let rumors keep you from discovering a place that might be the perfect fit for your child, like it was for ours.

This was the first year for our daughter to attend Challenger school. Our experience and results have exceeded all our expectations. Our daughter is thriving in the Pre-K class that she is attending. Ms Shivani and Ms Jyoti have been fabulous teachers this entire school year. I can see significant improvement in her language and math. I love that our daughter really looks forward to going to school where she has great relationships with the teachers, her class mates and other staff members. She enjoys learning, playing and the special performances that happen in the winter and spring. The school philosophy is focused on an intensive curriculum and motivating your child to excel. If that's what you're looking for then this would be a great fit.

We are so glad to have enrolled both our sons here and challenger - berryessa this year because now at the end of school year we see how tremendously our kids have grown. My younger one is with Ms Prerana and Ms Cici , and they have demonstrated incredible patience and dedication to ensure he thrives in his social emotional as well as academic learnings. The class embraces daily teaching through discipline and fun , and reinforces solid foundation which is exactly why we wanted to put kids through this school system. Also, this school aligns with our value in time and efficiency, just look at the curriculum and the school year calendars - you are getting the value compared to other similar schools in the area.
